Dr. Agarwal received his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He trained in diagnostic radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University and completed his cardiothoracic imaging fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Imaging specializing in multimodality cardiac and thoracic imaging including cardiac MRI and coronary CTA, and all modalities of chest imaging including lung cancer screening, high-resolution CT chest, and thoracic MRI. He is invited to give multiple national and regional lectures yearly and is actively involved with research. Dr. Agarwal serves on multiple national committees including those in the American College of Radiology (ACR), American Board of Radiology (ABR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society of Thoracic Radiology (STR), and American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). He is on the Executive Council for the STR, serving as the Chair of the Abstracts and Awards Committee. Dr. Agarwal is also the Diversity Officer for the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Brown University and is the President of the Rhode Island Radiologic Society for the 2020-2021 year
