
Dr. Kirbens hails from Wyoming, Colorado, Georgia, and South Carolina. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana where he studied Anthropology with a triple focus in Archaeology, Linguistics, and Biological Anthropology, Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He remained at Tulane to earn his Medical Degree, where he was also awarded the Goldie-Mintz Award and, in 2017, had the highest grade on the NBME Physiology Shelf Exam. Dr. Kirbens comes to us from a transitional year at the Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
