I knew immediately after my interview at Brown that I had to rank the program at the top of my list for my residency. The entire process, from the pre-interview dinner all the way to the final goodbye, felt welcoming and inviting and I easily was able to get a sense of the strong Brown radiology camaraderie and community.
Maybe even more impressive was the sense of real confidence the residents had in their diagnostic and procedural skills. Since this is a resident run program, the residents definitely work hard but they are richly rewarded with superb clinical training. To me, residency is THE time to gain the basic fundamentals of your profession and this program definitely seems to set the bar high in that regard.
Finally, Rhode Island is a beautiful coastal state with amazing beaches, views and seafood and importantly for a resident, affordable cost of living. Not to mention the affiliation with Brown University with their wealth of resources and connections. I highly recommend this program to any potential radiology applicant!
