Dr. Kavanaugh is a Massachusetts native, born in Boston. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, he moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University School of Medicine, where he earned his Medical Degree. Dr. Kavanaugh spent a year in General Surgery at University of California San Francisco East Bay Oakland before making the switch to Diagnostic Radiology.
“I chose Brown Radiology because of the phenomenal training, breadth of clinical exposure, and the fantastic people. I felt the culture of the program was of collaboration and camaraderie, and my time here has confirmed that. I am from the Boston suburbs and spent the past 10 years living in St. Louis, Madison, New Orleans, and San Francisco, and I am thrilled to be landing in Providence. In my free time I like to run, travel, and read nerdy fantasy books. I am excited to see what my four years at Brown radiology have in store for me.”
