Additional Information: Matthew D. Alvin, MD, MBA, MS, MA graduated summa cum laude in 3 years with his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, double majoring in Chemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology. Subsequently, he earned his MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. During medical school, he earned 3 Master’s degrees: a Master’s in Arts (Bioethics) and a Master’s in Science (Applied Anatomy) from Case, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Florida Hough School of Business. In his final year of medical school, Dr. Alvin was nationally selected as an American Medical Association Physician of Tomorrow. 

Dr. Alvin completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency and Neuroradiology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where he received a variety of research awards. His extensive background in research includes 60+ publications in high impact journals, including JAMA, Lancet, and Radiology, multiple presentations on the local, regional, and national level, and serving as a reviewer for multiple journals. He was nationally selected for the RSNA Olmsted and AJNR Editorial Fellowships and has served as an invited/featured expert for the New England Journal of Medicine. Finally, Dr. Alvin has 10+ years of teaching experience with Kaplan Medical/Test Prep, having mentored hundreds of pre-medical and medical students.
